Chewing gum can be very effective in reducing the bad garlic breath after a heavy meal. A study published in the Journal of Dental Research says that people with acid reflux or gastric reflux condition experienced a great amount of relief when they chewed gum for about 30 minutes after a meal.

It should also be noted that chewing licorice in excess quantity is not recommended as it could have side effects such as high blood pressure.

Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera is a plant which is supposed to soothe heat and burns. It can do the same from inside the stomach. Juice of aloe vera can be very effective in reducing the inflation in stomach and even in esophagus. It’s recommended that half cup of aloe vera juice should be consumed before meals and can provide instant relief.
